Agricultural burning plan

The local agricultural burning plan is based on Decree 91/2023, of June 22, of the Council, by which the regulations of Law 3/1993, of December 9, Forestry of the Valencian Country are approved.

  • The cremations will be carried out within the established period and in the areas determined in the Cremation Plan.
  • On days when there is a westerly wind, as well as strong gusts of wind, burning will be suspended immediately.
  • Cremations are prohibited in the period between Holy Thursday and the Monday immediately following Easter Monday, traditionally known as Saint Vincent’s Monday, both inclusive.
  • Burning is prohibited on Sundays and holidays.
  • The fire must be completely extinguished at the end of the permitted time and the interested party is obliged to monitor it until it is.
  • The burns will be carried out within the agricultural plot and more than 30 meters from forest vegetation, preferably inside a burner.
  • The bonfires will be made with a perimeter strip clear of vegetation up to mineral soil 5 m wide or within plowed land with the same safety perimeter as a minimum.
  • There will be an operational telephone at the site of the fire that will allow for a rapid alarm to be raised.
  • Call 112 in case of loss of fire control.
  • For burning activity in Zone B, during the low-risk period (October 16 to May 31), the interested party must process the “RESPONSIBLE DECLARATION FOR THE USE OF FIRE INTENDED FOR THE ELIMINATION OF AGRICULTURAL WASTE” with the City Council.
  • It will be processed during public service hours from Monday to Friday morning. It can be downloaded and completed by the interested party prior to its processing, electronically through the electronic office of the City Council website.
  • At the time the cremation is carried out, the authorized person must carry the corresponding responsible declaration.

Winter hours: low risk period. Months: from October 16 to May 31

Within Zones A and B of the municipality, burnings may be carried out every day (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday) from sunrise until 1:30 p.m., at which time the fire must be completely extinguished.

Within Zones B of the municipality, burning will be possible from Monday to Saturday from sunrise until 1:30 p.m., at which time the fire must be completely extinguished. A responsible declaration will be required.

Summer hours: high risk season. Months: from June 1 to October 15

Zone A of the municipality may be carried out from Monday to Saturday from sunrise until 11:00 a.m., at which time the fire must be completely extinguished.

Within Zones B. Totally prohibited

The burning of agricultural remains in Forest Zones and agricultural areas less than 30 meters from them is prohibited.

The burning of agricultural waste is prohibited on days with pre-emergency level 2 and 3 throughout the municipality.

Any change in the cremation calendar by order of the Ministry will be announced through the usual channels.
