MSW collection (urban solid waste)

This group includes all waste from domestic activity generated in homes.

Waste to be deposited: all waste that does not have a specific collection system in the municipality. Food scraps, paper or cardboard containers with food scraps, diapers or any waste that is not toxic or dangerous.

Place in container after 9pm.Remember that removing waste before the indicated time or after the night collection service has passed is punishable by law.

Waste to be deposited: newspapers, magazines, paper bags, notebooks, sheets, cardboard, cardboard boxes, egg cartons and everything derived from paper and cardboard.

Waste not allowed: dirty papers, aluminum foil, plasticized papers, bric-type containers, etc.

Paper and cardboard must be folded to make better use of the container.

Waste to be deposited: plastic containers, cleaning product containers, food trays, wrapping, jars, cans, aerosols, aluminum foil, metal boxes, metal caps, etc.

Unallowed waste: video tapes, CDs, toys, toothbrushes, pans, cutlery, etc.

Avoid buying products with a lot of packaging and single-use products. As much as possible, buy family-sized containers and in bulk, use your own bag when shopping.

Waste to be deposited: glass bottles, jars, glasses, etc.

Unpermitted waste: mirrors, vases, glassware, vases, flat glass, windows, ceramics, porcelain, tiles, corks, medicine containers, etc. The corks must be removed and glass must not be thrown into bags.

Waste to be deposited: fruit and vegetable scraps; meat and fish scraps; eggshells and nuts, shellfish shells; other spoiled food scraps; coffee grounds and infusion scraps; gardening scraps (dry leaves, branches, small plants, etc.); kitchen paper and dirty napkins; cork stoppers; wood sawdust.

Waste not allowed: Diapers, pads and tampons, wet wipes, cotton buds, other hygiene products such as razors, brushes or condoms, shaving powder, vacuum cleaner bags, excrement, cigarette butts, ashes, pruning or gardening waste in large quantities, cooking oil, medicines, fabrics and leather goods.

To conveniently separate organic matter at home, the use of aerated bins (with a grid) and compostable bags (which decompose together with the organic matter) is highly recommended.You can request compostable bins and bags from the City Council and the Tourist Office.

Oils to be deposited: Frying oil and fats. Canned and packaged food oil. Other vegetable oils

Oils not allowed: Engine oils

Collection points for used household oil: c/ de l’Arrullador (Parc Jaume I); end c/ Valencia (house Pompília); c/ sta. Isabel (behind DIA).

Collection of old furniture or appliances at your home

You must call the indicated telephone number in advance to arrange a collection day (only on Mondays). Maximum 4 pieces of old furniture or appliances per address per day. They must be left in front of the house.

Font d’en Carròs Mobile Ecopark:

It is a vehicle managed by the COR that is installed periodically and in which non-bulky waste that does not fit in traditional containers can be deposited.

SUMMER: Plaça Francesc Carròs: Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

WINTER: Plaça Francesc Carròs. Monday from 10:00 to 14:00 or from 16:00 to 20:00 alternatively (one week in the morning and one week in the afternoon).

Waste you can bring: oil, clothes, shoes, toys, small household appliances, fluorescent tubes, batteries, electronic waste, printer toner waste, electrical cables, wood, metals, glass, plastic, paper, cardboard, porcelain, crystal, pots, pans, paint scraps, NON-bulky waste.

From Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Thursday evenings from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Waste you can bring: glass, paper and cardboard, packaging, oil, clothes, shoes, toys, household appliances, fluorescent tubes, batteries, electronic waste, printer toner waste, electrical cables, wood, metals, plastic, porcelain, crystal, pots, pans, paint residues, bulky waste.
