What is the Youth Information Point?
The Youth Information Point is a free public service provided by the Font d’en Carròs City Council, particularly aimed at the youth of the town.
Its objective is to provide young people with the information, documentation and advice necessary to enable them to carry out their initiatives and rights.
What are its functions?
The functions it performs are fundamentally the following:
- Collect information generated in the municipality on matters of youth or of interest to young people.
- Detect the information needs and demands of the youth group of Font d’en Carròs.
- To provide personalized service to young people in their inquiries and requests for information and advice.
- Disseminate the information you have.
- Promote participation and encourage youth activities.
Where are we and what can you do there?
You will find the Youth Information Point (PIJ) of Font d’en Carròs in the municipal public library, from Monday to Friday, in the afternoons. It is a space where you can go to:
- Connect to the Internet: You have three computers at your disposal to connect to the network.
- Find all kinds of information (scholarships, courses, leisure activities, local news, etc.): At PIJ we constantly collect information that can be very useful to you.
- Obtain advice on youth associations, youth initiatives in the field
- Suggest the organization of all those activities that you would like to carry out (talks, competitions, concerts…): We are at your disposal so that Font d’en Carròs can offer interesting alternatives for you.
Psychological guidance service
What is it and what are its functions?
It is a municipal information and advice resource aimed at the residents of Font d’en Carròs, especially the children and young people. The actions are carried out taking into account both individual and collective needs.
The services offered by this department include, among others, the following:
- Information on resources and services.
- Vocational and professional guidance; advice for young people on study and work issues.
- Advice to young people on conflict resolution, child/youth problems, etc.
- Advice on drug addiction prevention, etc.
Where are we?
You will find us on the second floor of the city hall, on Tuesdays from 9 am to 2 pm.
