Children, municipal children’s school
The Font d’en Carròs Municipal Nursery School, located at C / Blasco Ibáñez 3 for boys and girls from 0 to 3 years old, was born with the idea of offering a quality service to families and with the fundamental task of promoting and achieving optimal emotional and full development of both girls and boys.
This full commitment, which expands the offer of public services in our municipality, allows us to advance in two lines of work that have been fundamental in our municipal policy: on the one hand, we continue with the determined commitment to quality education for everyone as a fundamental resource when it comes to guaranteeing equal opportunities, and on the other, we abound in the path of social co-responsibility between men and women when it comes to raising children, allowing us to best reconcile family and work life.
Educational Project
The 0-3 years stage is a short period of time where great evolutionary changes occur. Our educational project aims to respect each person’s own learning pace, promoting diverse knowledge that provides open and creative thinking.
Our project is based on an entrepreneurial and innovative methodology where we offer differentiating educational proposals and therefore the activities are manipulation, experimentation, participation and motivational in order to awaken interest in learning. The objective is to develop personal skills and capabilities, which is what we call COMPETENCES.
At NINOS, from the practice of cooperative principles, we are committed to an educational model in which entrepreneurship is given priority. In our model of work for entrepreneurial skills we promote initiative, creativity, a positive attitude, the management of emotions and teamwork among our students, among other entrepreneurial values. We offer tools to have greater autonomy, decision-making capacity and security in day-to-day life, with a positive, affective, resolute and participatory attitude, highlighting the best in each person.
Services provided by the school
School hours from 9am to 12pm and from 3pm to 5pm.

- During the months of June and September, the service is maintained in the afternoons, as well as on opening days agreed upon with the municipal team for the Christmas, Fallas and Easter holidays, at no additional cost to families.

School characteristics
It is a School Authorized and Approved by the Ministry of Education, thus complying with the requirements regarding its facilities, equipment and personnel.
- The cost of schooling is partially covered by public aid and the rest directly by families.
- It has innovative facilities, with all the needs required by this type of building, built under pedagogical and evolutionary criteria that adapt the spaces to each age. It is a school designed for the integral development of the students.
- The facilities are complemented by a dining room, a playground and a multi-purpose room.
- All the classrooms converge and are linked to the outdoor play area. Between all the classrooms are the toilets for hygienic services, which are glazed spaces to facilitate the control of the students.

- The school has educational facilities of more than 440m2 and more than 860m2 of playground, in a site of about 1,300m2.
- The school has 6 classrooms clearly differentiated according to age, with a capacity for 93 places. Complying with the regulations of 8 places in the 0-2 year old classroom, 13 places in the 1-2 year old classroom, 15 places in the 1-3 year old classroom and 20 places in the 2-3 year old classroom.
- The nursery school presents its own studied pedagogical project, based on the acquisition of personal skills, developed by professionals with more than 30 years of experience.

Our educational proposal is developed through what we call “Worlds”. Within each “World” the necessary conditions are given for the progressive development of NINOS skills. A motivating and stimulating atmosphere, warm welcoming spaces, moments of surprise, meeting spaces that invite children to explore and manipulate. All this with a careful selection of materials and the development of activities.
